Our department was established in 1992 in association with Niğde University and started its education life in 1995-1996 academic year and has been continuing to work with undergraduate and graduate programs under Aksaray University since 2006. There are four departments: Environmental Sciences, Environmental Technologies, Air Pollution Control and Soil Pollution and Solid Waste within the scope of our department.

Department of Environmental Engineering; The aim of the program is to teach contemporary, undergraduate and graduate education, to fulfill the goals supported by scientific principles, to emphasize public-industry collaboration, to aim for sustainable development and to educate human and environmental health within the scope of environmental education.
Environmental engineers; Within the scope of environmental pollution prevention, including environmental management systems and plans, environmental ımpact assessment (eıa), drinking and drinking water, domestic and industrial wastewater and rainwater, solid wastes, harmful and hazardous wastes, domestic and industrial wastes, air pollution, noise, pollution of soil and groundwater resources issues; survey, feasibility, project, research, development and planning, consulting and training, supervisor, trial operation, inspection and acceptance, application and business management, preparation and arrangement of the discovery-specification-tender file, progress and final account, sampling, testing, measurement, analysis and modeling services that they carry out.
