DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING

Our department, which was established in 1992 under Niğde University and started its education life in the 1995-1996 academic year, has been continuing its activities with undergraduate and graduate programs under Aksaray University since 2006. Our department consists of four main branches: Environmental Sciences, Environmental Technologies, Air Pollution and Control, and Soil Pollution and Solid Waste. The vision of the Environmental Engineering Department is to train engineers who can use the theoretical and practical knowledge within the scope of environmental engineering, based on fundamental engineering sciences, for the identification, solution, and prevention of current environmental problems. The mission of the Environmental Engineering Department is to provide education within the scope of the departments that form the basis of Environmental Engineering, aiming at contemporary undergraduate and graduate education, achieving objectives supported by scientific principles, emphasizing public-industry cooperation, aiming at sustainable development, and considering human and environmental health. Environmental Engineers carry out studies, feasibility studies, projects, research, development, and planning, consultancy, training, control, trial operation, inspection and acceptance, implementation, and other related fields in order to prevent environmental pollution, including environmental management systems and plans, environmental impact assessment EIA, drinking and utility water, domestic and industrial wastewater and rainwater, solid wastes, hazardous and hazardous wastes, domestic and industrial wastewater, air pollution, noise, and pollution of soil and groundwater resources. They carry out business management, preparation and editing of exploration-specifications-tender files, progress payment and final account, sampling, testing, measurement, analysis and modeling services.
